Jeffery W. Johnson, CEO and Executive Consultant

Jeffery W. Johnson started his career with SunTrust Bank in Atlanta as a Management Trainee and progressed to Vice President and Senior Lender for SouthTrust Bank (a large Southeastern Regional Bank) and Senior Vice President and Commercial Banking Division Manager for Citizens Trust Bank of Atlanta (Community Bank).

Most of his career has been spent in Credit Administration, Lending (Commercial, Consumer and Real Estate), Business Development, Loan Review, Management and Training & Development.  He has managed loan portfolios representing a cross section of loan types including: Large Corporate, High Net Worth Individuals, Middle Market Companies, Small Businesses, Real Estate and Non-Profit Organizations and managed several loan officers with portfolio management responsibilities.

Mr. Johnson is now a training professional in the banking industry by leading various seminars covering important topics relating to issues in banking.  He teaches actively for fifteen state banking associations in the United States, Risk Management Association (RMA) and individual banks nationwide.  He co-authored a training course entitled “Lending to Service and Other Professional Organizations” for RMA in 2001.

Mr. Johnson earned a B.A. Degree in Accounting from Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA; a MBA in Finance from John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio; Banking Diploma from Prochnow School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Graduate Certificate in Bank Management from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

Sheila Fleming, Senior Consultant

Sheila Fleming is a management communications specialist with over twenty years experience in higher education teaching and training.  She believes that communication is central to business success; therefore, her approach to management communications training involves integrating real-world business issues as they relate to cost-savings, efficiency, productivity, loss, and customer loyalty.  Her approach to training involves having participants engage in real-world exercises, simulations, demonstrations, or case studies so that they have an opportunity to use their skills to solve problems or address issues that they are currently dealing with in the workplace.

Ms. Fleming has held positions on the faculty at Florida Atlantic University and Montgomery County Community College. At Florida Atlantic, she served as the Assistant Director, Graduate Business Communications Program where taught in the Executive, Weekend and traditional MBA programs. Many of the topics included interpersonal skills, business writing skills, presentational skills, diversity initiatives, and crisis communication skills.  Her students represented many fields of study, all levels of management at various points in their careers.  Many of her students were employed by Fortune 500 companies while enrolled in her course.  At Montgomery County Community College Ms. Fleming taught public speaking, which involved all phases of the speech process.

Ms. Fleming has developed and conducted training sessions for public, private, and government agencies.  As a result, she has a great capacity for effectively communicating with diverse audiences. The following list highlights some her private consulting experiences:

Glen Farley, Senior Consultant

Glen Farley graduated from the University of Georgia with a BBA degree.  His professional experience includes

  • Loan Officer and Branch Manager at First Federal Savings and Loan in Columbus, Georgia;
  • Department Vice President over Residential Construction Lending at Decatur Federal Bank;
  • Executive Vice President of Residential Construction Lending including operations in Metro Atlanta, Tennessee, Florida and North Carolina
  • Senior Vice President of First Bank of the South

Glen has led seminars in Construction Lending for the Community Bankers Association of Georgia and the Community Bankers Association of Illinois.  Glen receives outstanding evaluations from participants who attend his seminars.

He is a Board Member of the Atlanta Homebuilders Association, Board Member of the State of Georgia Homebuilders Association and past member of the Dekalb Planning Commission, past Board Member of the American Cancer Society and past Member of the Dekalb Chamber of Commerce

Mary Stamper-Murray, Senior Consultant

Mary Stamper-Murray is a former banker with more than 25 years of banking experience, where she held multiple managerial and leadership positions in bank operations and human resources. Her accomplishments include extensive experience in all human resources initiatives such as, staffing, recruiting, interviewing, policy development and implementation, performance management, grievance and conflict resolution, salary administration, employee relations, and training and development.

During her banking career, Ms. Stamper-Murray was certified as a Master Facilitator with Employment Learning Innovations (ELI), and the Georgia Bankers Association.

Ms. Stamper-Murray has facilitated numerous bank training classes in supervision and management, oral and written communication, civil treatment, and related human resources courses.

She completed study for and received an undergraduate degree from Paine College in Augusta, GA., and also completed the BAI Graduate School of Bank Operations and Technology at Vanderbilt University from which she graduated with "Great Distinction".

Ms. Stamper-Murray has received numerous awards including, InRoads facilitator of the Year, American Institute of Banking Chairman’s Award, SouthTrust Bank Chairman’s Award of Excellence, Operations Hall of Fame inductee, and Georgia’s 100 Most Powerful and Influential Women – 2001.
 
Judy Preston

Judy Preston is a former banker with more than 30 years of banking experience, where she held multiple managerial and leadership positions in Training and Human Resources Development.  Her accomplishments include extensive experience in all aspects of bank training such as, conducting needs analysis, developing yearly training schedules, identifying and preparing material for various training programs, monitoring trainers’ instructional abilities, developing and implementing new programs, developing databases to provide reports to measure improvements, and conducting all types of training classes.

During her banking career, Ms. Preston developed a One Day Teller Training and One Day Advanced Teller Training Program and implemented them for the Georgia Bankers Association.

Ms. Preston has facilitated numerous bank training classes for branch personnel, supervisors, and management.  Some of these classes include, teller training, head teller training, customer service training, branch technical computer training, civil treatment, workplace violence and mentor training.

She attended Georgia State University, studying Business Management and was certified to facilitate a variety of banking classes.
